Holly Gregory Associates was formed many years ago by or Company Director, Jess Tyrrell. She has over 20 years experience working in a wide range of companies from small startups, charities, media, retail to holding very senior roles in the corporate world.

Her team and HR Practitioners but also HR Change Agents.

She realised that a number of companies just need someone to come in to fill an immediate want, or provide some solid practical advice, but also pick up more complex projects from start to finish. Change Manager: Health Sector 

  • Supporting the SMT run a workshop to map the "As Is" and the "To Be" from a high-level basis including reviewing customer journeys

  • Pulling out any existing pain points including governance and accountability

  • Mapping the previously completed capabilities matrix to a "To Be" structure to see if it fits

  • Agree scope of the "To be" transformation including understanding impacted areas and agree operational cost savings.  

Transformation Project Manager: British Telecom 

  • Project Management of the highly complex People Framework program within the HR and Technology teams

  • Completion of a robust Project Plan, Dependencies logs, RAID, and Gantt chart progress

  • Creation of weekly PMO Governance reporting packs into senior management and leaders  

  • Management of key project risks and issues including work workshops

  • Creation of milestone plans including agreeing KPI, SLA to meet the financial business case metrics

  • Mapping dependencies across many concurrent workstreams to provide Operating Model oversight (working with SME's)

  • Supporting OD data analysis and working with HR teams on consultation documentation and process

HR Business Partner/Change Manager: BBC 

  • HRBP Interim Services to BBC News and On-Air Presenters (450 staff) in UK and BBC Worldwide.  

  • TUPE: Supported 3 separate high profile, UK and worldwide transformation changes - end to end

  • Due Diligence: Created and supported: Outsource contract HR clause input, data mining and analysis, payroll/benefit mapping, legal review with internal and external lawyers

  • Employment Relations: Consultation, M&A redundancies, harmonisation of terms and union benefit negotiations and buy-outs (ER) for UK and Offshore – NUJ and BECTU.

  • Analysis: Policies, Procedures, understanding legal jurisdiction, payroll data analytics, benchmarking across UK and worldwide (EMEA) in preparation for consultation on T&C's.  

  • Organisation Design: Career Path Framework, including working with exec to agree the current “As Is” baseline, analysis using OD design principals, “To Be” strategic design.

  • Reward: Supporting the annual reward changes: analysing and reporting on annual bonus calculations, PRR reviews, bonus calibration and Equal Pay analysis and reporting.  

  • Retention and Reward: Reviewing strategic plans including benchmarking of salaries as part of operating model changes, annual bonus plans and assessments

  • Recruitment: Overseeing operations changes to recruitment and contract staff management including HMRC IR35 transition

  • System: HR lead for the SAP worldwide staff system migration from Cornerstone to Success Factors to enable payroll, training, PDR’s including creating project plans. 

HR Business Partner: Third Sector 

  • Managed disciplinary, training, mentoring, employee relations (ER), grievances and investigations.

  • Reviewed Mandatory and Regulatory procedures to ensure they adhered to in a high security arena.

  • Supported the development of Transformation programmes ensuring new opportunities, processes and systems

  • Led management restructuring including OD analysis & redesign, staff and union consultations.

Head of HR Operations: African Prison Project (Start-up)

  • Wrote their UK/EMEA policies and procedures library, induction and staff handbooks, brochures and managed internal and external training plans.

  • Set up a new HR Operations division, including writing the company strategy, implementing a governance framework, PRR, OKR objectives, benefits and perks

  • Benchmarked salaries in the UK and offshore to ensure salaries and benefits were in sync with the industry.

  • Created new recruitment networks in the UK and EMEA including HM Prisons, recruitment agencies and universities for permanent staff, legal interns and overseas volunteers.

  • Managed all recruitment including creating job descriptions and employment contracts.

  • Achieved the PQASSO kite mark standards (equivalent to ISO 9001) for governance and policy.

Leadership and Development: Sue Ryder Care 

  • Creation of a Employee Engagement toolkit and guides for L and D programs.

  • Development of a database, financial analysis, sales performance tools, created policies to track regulatory risk.

  • Supported customer service desk for UK retail stores for advice and complaint handing.

  • Completed research and analysis around MOJ including writing exec briefings, presentations to support funding bids.

Digital Procurement: Banking Sector

  • Contract negotiation of software licenses for all Digital online 3rd party suppliers (46), category spend 20m.

  • Produced RFP’s, ITT and supplier sales pitches to gain 2m annual savings, contract values 500k-10m.

  • Introduced 1st bank wide, best in class, procurement risk framework to manage supplier costs, Service level agreements and key performance indicators.

  • Gained senior board approval to create and launch the first bank wide, market leading, mobile and SMS banking channel including outlining the 5-year strategic roadmap.  

  • Project lead on implementation of numerous digital changes valuing 10m, including negotiation of Telecom contracts (O2, Vodafone, BT).

  • Creation of detailed IT requirements, impact assessments, feasibility and FBC.  

  • Created marketing strategy, customer insight analysis, to build multiple segmented and targeted mobile campaigns, SEO, offline and offline marketing designs.

  • Worked with creative agencies, including concept and testing for TV advertising.

IT Service Delivery: Banking Sector

  • Accountable for the digital platform’s service including performance and stability in line with ITIL best practices.

  • Channel lead for CAB working with Group IT, Retail branches & Call Centres.

  • Responsible for daily resolution of operational and IT outage issues e.g. P1 to P3.

  • Created first bank wide risk framework to include IT system downtime performance, risk and compliance.

Project Manager: Banking Sector

  • Delivered multiple, concurrent projects on-time and to budget in a fast-paced service environment.  

  • Managed the creation of a new digital channel, mapping customer journeys and creating marketing concepts.

  • SME on white labelling online web sites and delivering IT digital customer facing applications.  

  • Created terms of reference, financial business cases, testing, detailed requirements, Risk, and Research
